There are many benefits of Google docs. Some of them are:
1. Group work with students.
2. Generates conversation for the most quiet learner
3. Provides collaboration
during extended problem solving activities.
4. Allows people to work on the same document at different times & from different places!
Some of us with no computer in our classroom can contribute from anywhere, including
home! (Where much of our work happens.)
5. Collective group narratives: Written phone game
6. Editing an essay as a peer group.
7. A short response to a posted question--->responding
One drawback is some members may not be mature and play on the chat
You can see what people say in real time and have entire class engaged challenge to get
used to finding space and working
8. The ability to collaborate as a group for critiques and group work.
9. The opportunity to share revision and editing skills and to learn from each other.
10. Could be interesting with a complicated math problem!
